Georg Fischer Casting Solutions Suzhou Co., Ltd.

GF Automotive Division of Georg Fischer AG develops and manufactures products at 9 manufacturing facilities in Germany, Austria and China（additional partnerships in North America & Japan）and at two development centers in Switzerland and China. There are around 5,000 employees develop and manufacture castings and complete assemblies in iron, aluminum and magnesium for chassis, power-and drive-train, structure and bodywork for passenger cars and commercial vehicles. All commonly applied casting processes are used, such as sand casting and high pressure die casting, as well as machining, joining, assembly and surface treatment processes. GF Automotive is committed to reduce the weight of its components and focuses on sustainability in its research, development and manufacturing.

The facility in Suzhou was set up in 2005 and used in developing and producing high-quality high pressure die-casting products in the complex area of light weight metals including aluminum and magnesium. The second facility in Kunshan was opened in 2009 and focuses on creating and realizing high performance casting components made of ductile iron. Both foundries in China have strong ties to Europe and create a strong network. There is a special R&D center in China to provide local engineering competency for Asia-Pacific area to guarantee the bionic design or optimization of the products.
